I don't really care about the Olympics. I was beginning to wonder if that makes me un-American. I was beginning to wonder if I'm the only one. I did not watch the opening ceremony, just like I did not look at the pictures of Brangelina's twins. Okay, I admittedly saw the cover of People (at work!).. but that's it! During the weekend spent with my friends at the beach, I came up with the most entertaining saying.. at least it's entertaining to me. Anything that is uninteresting to me is "like Brad and Angelina to me!"

I will confess, however, we did watch the opening ceremonies of Puppy Games 2008 on Animal Planet. The water bowl cam rocks! Apparently Animal Planet is holding the event to coincide with the closing ceremonies too. It's worth checking out, the puppies are pretty cute.

But, back to the Olympics. Somehow I did manage to see Michael Phelps win the gold last night.

We were watching the Bucs pre-season game against Miami at a sports bar and some people in our group wanted to watch the Olympics. So we watched both. I have to tell you I probably won't be watching any more events. It's not that I don't appreciate the skill of the athletes, but it just doesn't do anything for me. And now I'm confused about the rating system. Last night I noticed a 10 is no longer the highest score you can get. What? Wasn't it always 1-10? What the heck does a 15.25 mean?? Is that good??
