I took my sweet Lab, MIz Ruby, to Petco last year to have her picture taken with Santa. My poor dog suffers from linoleum whiplash because her paws cannot make contact with it without slipping and slidding all over the place. Our kitchen has throw rugs the length of the room so she can make it to the dining room and back. I know, but we just rent this house now, so no marble floors until sometime in the future.

I am still not skilled with placing photos of all shapes and sizes on my blog, but I promise the picture will be featured at the bottom of this blog. My poor dog looks so frightened and Santa has his hands around my poor dog’s neck. The bastard. I will not be doing this to her again this year. She deserves not to have nightmares about the fat guy and linoleum. I hate when she wakes up screaming. Oh, sorry, that is Walter exercising his lungs. She just runs into my leg while I am trying to sleep. Yes, she sleeps with us. I am working thru the guilt. She gets to wear my best jewelry and I have tasted new food for her and hand in written critiques on each new brand that comes in. I favor the chicken and vegetable and couldn’t keep the liver and egg one down.

All this in a round about way to say that during the month of December I will look for the good in the world. I am honored to be the muse of the month and I want to report on people doing good things for others. In this world it is sometimes hard to believe that people are basically good and decent. But the Skirt! bloggers give me hope. I feel bad talking about the bad that comes from the hearts of some people after I read the blogs here. So much is about hope and love and possibilities and I will try to stay positive this month. My head might explode, but I am willing to take the chance.

so my first piece of good news is that Hillary Clinton is going to be our new Secretary of State. Our next president is helping me sleep better at night. Especially when Miz Ruby is lying next to me and is chasing Santa out of town. You go girl!
