Beaver's Update

Sunday, November, 23, 2008

OK, I made it back back to my new obsession, Beaver’s, last night for drinks. I tried two of the cocktails on their menu and I tasted my girlfriends’.

Here is the report. All of them were good.

First I had The Forecast. The Forecast has Habanero-infused Monopolowa vodka, cucumber, kaffir lime, and lemon. That had a lemony cucumber taste at first and then a kick at the end.  Next I had the Opal Smash, with Makers Mark, lemon, opal basil. That tasted like a great lemonade.

My girlfriend had the Not Your Mama’s Apple Pie. I don’t know what was in that, but it was great. It had a vanilla apple taste to it. (I hate when I try to change the font size and this ends up bolded or smaller in some parts. Wierd technical error.)

I tried the chips and salsa this time. The salsa has a nice smoky taste to it. It reminded me of  a salsa I used to love at Mesa’s Grill, before it closed.

This is definitely one of my new favorite places!
