Skirt Bookclub
I'm relatively new to this, so bear with me. As you now know, I'm the new book club at skirt! I'm single at the present time, but have TONS of friends and am attracted to anything with 2 covers (front and back), with lots of flippy pages in between. Call me crazy..... I like to spend my time in boo...

Next On the List

Hopefully by now we have all finished one book or the other. I REALLY want to talk about The Time Traveler's Wife, and how you felt about the end! I am so torn. Were you happy with it? Did you want more? What questions or comments do you have? As you know, I am looking for some backup, some reinforcement so to speak, on the next selection. I REALLY want us all to participate, at least once a week so that there is order to what we're doing. If you let me know that you are interested, I will be happy to put together a schedule for questions/topics for discussion for everyone, as soon as we choose our next read. As some of you already know, I am in the middle of A Long Way Gone, by Ishmael Beah, which is somewhat heavy. I encourage you to look into it, but am absolutely open to something a bit happier! Give me your ideas!

Sorry for being so late to respond. I read The Time Travelers Wife a while back and really loved it. I would like to discuss it also (after going back and reading thoughts I wrote down about it to refresh my bad memory!) I also read Bel Canto. I just finished reading The Kite Runner, which has been out for some time, but I just got around to reading it. It is heavy also, but I now have a much better understanding of Afghanistan (pre and post Taliban). Someone else had mentioned the Friday Night Knitting Club, so I plan to start it tonight. I am not all that computer savvy - is there any way to "watch" this blog so I know when new topics are posted?
