~this is a stunning scene from one of my favorite movies, "Lilies of the Valley."
has helped built a church for some very strict German Catholic nuns, whom have fallen in love with him.
As he departs the compound, they sing AMEN together. It is a gorgeous moment, and I have held the
words and beauty inside all of these years. Notice the look of deep anticipation and sadness as the Mother Superior recognizes that Poiter is finally leaving them after months of constructing their church. I highly recommend this gem of a film....because the premise is about so much more than building a chapel, it’s about building relationships.
I hope you enjoy this prayer as much as I did and do! It fills me with joy! AMEN!
